#8588 Bendable leg Barbie (1973) European market only
Three dolls use the same Barbie head mold, two are sold in Europe and Canada, and one in the United states: #7192 Funtime Barbie, and #8588 Bendable leg Barbie. Funtime Barbie has a Twist 'n Turn waist and Bendable leg Barbie does not. Bendable leg Barbie wears a rose colored swimsuit, and Funtime wears a tangerine suit. They are marked as follows: #7192: © 1966 Mattel, Inc. U.S. Patented U.S. Pat. Pend. Made in Korea and #8588: © 1967 Mattel, Inc. U.S. Patents Pending /Patented in Canada 1967/ Taiwan
#1155 Baggie Action Barbie is a U.S. version doll and was available in 1976. She wears the same pink suit as #8588 Bendable leg Barbie. Her legs bend, but her waist does twist. She is marked: : © 1967 Mattel, Inc. U.S. Patents Pending /Patented in Canada 1967/ Taiwan
#1155 Baggie Action Barbie is a U.S. version doll and was available in 1976. She wears the same pink suit as #8588 Bendable leg Barbie. Her legs bend, but her waist does twist. She is marked: : © 1967 Mattel, Inc. U.S. Patents Pending /Patented in Canada 1967/ Taiwan

#8588 Bendable leg Barbie (1973)
#8588 Bendable leg Barbie from Europe that sold in 1973 and #1155 Action Barbie from the U.S. that sold in 1976 are the same doll. They just have different packaging. Both have the non-twist waists and both have bendable legs.
